Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Windows XP introduced many security enhancements including a default Windows firewall. This concept has been spread to other versions of Windows operating systems.
Following the installation of any IP Office applications, it may be necessary to open a add that application to the firewall exceptions list. Whilst the firewall may prompt the user whether it should do that when the application is first run, the batch file attached below can be run to add the necessary firewall exceptions.
Download the zip file: AvayaFW.zip (1.5KB)
Unzip AvayaFW.bat from the AvayaFW.zip file.
If the path to which applications are being installed is not the default, modify the %ProgramFiles% setting within the file.
Run the batch file on the user's PC.
